Shifty apparel has acquired our very own DTG printer and we couldn’t be more excited! Why you ask? As we can now offer our clients more, by catering for all printing needs, large or small.
If you’re not in the screen printing industry, chances are you don’t really know the difference between screen printing and DTG (Direct to garment) print.
In a nutshell, the difference between the two is that screen-printing is best used for simple, solid colour prints for large orders, and DTG is best used for mutli-colour, high detail prints for small orders.

Complex Colour Schemes and Designs
Unlike screen printing that requires transferring one colour at a time onto the garment, DTG print uses inkjet technology that prints the ink directly into the garment, giving us the ability to print a higher detail design (such as photographs).

High Quality, Small Volume Printing
As there isn’t the usual screen printing set up time involved with DTG print, we are able to offer smaller volume printing. This means we can now print one off batches, samples or even a custom designed dog photo tee (Jess’s new wardrobe).

If you’re after a small order of garments in a hurry, we can help you. Less set up time, means less work which results in faster delivery.
100% Cotton Garments Only
We recommend using AS Colour 100% cotton garments only for your DTG print. Some garment styles and fabric are not suitable so it’s important to consider your garment needs when choosing your printing preference. We can help here!
